Journey of change- what matters

When I first found myself in this situation—living in a home that was nothing like what I believed I had purchased, overwhelmed with frustration—I focused on trying to fix it and escape the mess I was in. But as I began talking to my neighbors, I quickly discovered they were facing the same issues.
That realization pushed me from community to community, knocking on doors, asking questions, and listening to stories. And every time, I heard the same thing: frustration, anger, and a feeling of having no way out.
We’ve come a long way from where we started, but we still have a long road ahead. Change doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one step at a time. Sometimes those steps mean knocking on doors in freezing temperatures, rain, sleet, or heat. Other times, it means gathering neighbors to rebuild hope—hope that started as a thought and has grown into action.
A Marathon, Not a Sprint
From the beginning, we said this was a marathon, not a sprint. And we have trained for this marathon. We’ve worked hard, built connections, and created a network of people and organizations who help our communities rise above the challenges we’ve faced.
We’ve had conversations with people who can help drive meaningful change, and we’ve partnered with organizations that amplify our voices. But above all, the strength of this movement lies in each one of us.
Doing the right thing—even when we are not treated right—shows the difference between who we are and what we are fighting against. Our voices are powerful. But used the wrong way, they can undo progress.
Social media can be a helpful tool, but it can also ignite anger, escalate conflict, and cause harm we never intended.
So when you’re tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed, call a neighbor. Call the tenant board. Reach out to someone who will support you. But please don’t use social media as a place to unload your burdens. We want to be the light in the darkness—not echoes of the problems we’re trying to change.
Rumors & Misinformation
As we continue this work, there will be rumors and misinformation tossed around—people speaking without facts, without context, or without the full story.
We cannot help or add to those situations.
If you hear something, if you’re unsure whether something is true, or if you simply have questions…
Please reach out to us and ask. We are here to help you understand what’s real and what’s not.
We want to be the light in the darkness—not echoes of confusion or conflict.
Why We Fight
Every day, we work to be one strong, unified voice for change. Change is no longer just an idea—it’s becoming real. Hope grows when we choose differently. It is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and each other.
Be the voice that lifts people up—not the one that tears others down.
We are living through circumstances no one should have to endure. When apologies never come. When your home brings more stress than stability. When you don’t know how you’ll pay next week’s bills—or even this month’s.
Those are the reasons we fight. Those are the reasons your voice matters.
You matter. We matter. Our issues matter.
Anyone living in a manufactured home park knows these struggles day in and day out. And if we aren’t willing to fight for change for ourselves, who will?
We Are Here for You
